why

I don't get it whats the point

e-lusiv3yearold responds:

The point is on the end of the pencil.

Ok... Some of it was good

...Personally, I don't think this will get through. People have a huge prejudice against stick movies that aren't super high-quality. I didn't like the plot myself- way too cliche, but as flash animations go, it was ok. Take out the grenade text part though, it's a unique aspect that makes you think, and explaining it is presumptuous and ruins the wtf moment.

Also, the ninja looks like a mummy.

Make the blood less shiny and with more frames, too. It looks somewhat crappy.

Take out the pauses too; they're only good to add suspense to a good plot, and (no offence) but that's not your movie's strong point right now.

have the guards move around more when they die, and make the timing more dramatic (less pause before they're killed, maybe even do all their deaths in 2 seconds).

If you edited it to cut out the unneccesary pauses in the action, it could be good. But I still wouldn't advise trying to get a stick movie through the portal.

good luck with future flash movies.

Nighthawkstudio responds:

Tnx, really good review, i will have your advices in mind

It's not that simple.

No-one believes they can achieve happiness without some means to do so. The internet is the perfect place to hide from other people, and books help as well. Happiness can be obtained without other people through appriciation of art, nature, and many other things. The sadness which you describe only lasts until you develop a tolerance to being starved of conversation, and can stop judging yourself with others as a point of perspective all the time. It takes years, and it's all but impossible to eliminate all contact with the outside world, but it's something that's possible to get used to.

Fear of rejection and betrayal isn't the only reason someone might reject friendship. Constant conversation brings your mind to the outside, where it can be changed without your knowledge, and where you can't see your own thoughts in the same way, since everything is spoken before you really realize it. When you hide inside yourself, you get brilliant insights from the recursive thoughts that make up your self, and everything is seen differently. Your mind becomes far more tangible. You can be free of cultural identity, have time to develop your own beliefs, and develop your personal identity free of influence. The fewer groups that you can really consider yourself a part of, the more of an individual you are.

It's a different sort of existance, but not one that should be discarded with as little thought as that. Personally, it's not the way I want to live all my life, but this lifestyle has let me come close to understanding who I am, the nature of reality, and my own mind. It's given me an appriciation for the little interactions you have with people, because when you hardly get any, a few words can mean a lot.

Really though, don't judge. People should be able to live how they choose, and it's annoying when someone tells you that you're living the wrong way.

desc3 responds:

Yeah, I know, the same goes for me. I also spend a huge amount of time within myself just thinking. But for me, that just won't suffice. It did, about three years ago, but it almost killed me mentally at the end. So I guess there's nothing wrong with this message. I can only speak of my own experiences, of course, but hell, you don't have to take an advice, if you don't want to, geez...

Great.

Yeah, it is unfortunate how many things with subtlety get lost. I liked the part where his hands got destroyed- nice metaphor, if slightly out of place in the context of what was happening.

ZekeySpaceyLizard responds:

aye, but I always tend to make things gruesome.

Wow, that guys life sucked.

Yeah, life is often like that when I don't have time to use the computer. Otherwise, it's totally worth living.

HannesH responds:

agree!

It was good, but the end made me sad

... Since my main problem is that I do not have a group of friends for various reasons. So, in essence, few of those problems, since many of those things stem from personal relationship issues. Lol. Not really though.

:(

OurGuardian responds:

You can always talk to me, Im here, and Im real.

I didn't get it.

So the other worms carried her away so he killed himself? Huh? You do know that worms are niether male nor female, right?

Overall, good animation though.

Sunspot01 responds:

Again: it's a CARTOON. I wrote that on the front page, I know worms are asexual/hermanphroditic/whatever. And yes, the other worms carried her away, and he was unable to escape their grasp to get to her.

Good, but I'm giving this 0 overall...

Because it featured violence against chickens. Be glad I'm not blamming this in all the other categories.

element-2 responds:

no one cares.

Wow. I didn't get all the humor, but it was good.

And what are you talking about anyways; that WAS cheery and cute! It just had a lot of random violence and morbidity thrown in. That didn't change the overall style.

My only problem with it was that a lot of the scenes didn't seem to fit in, but I still liked it.

ZekeySpaceyLizard responds:

k

As a flash, it was pretty good overall.

Nevertheless, I think it seems a little too cliche. I'll have to see the full version, because what was revealed about it was fairly confusing, but it seemed to rely on too many stereotypes; ie. the whole tank people, spaceship, heroic main character, apparent good vs. evil conflict, etc. I may have misunderstood stuff though, so I may be wrong.

The overall concept itself didn't seem cliche, because I didn't understand it at all. From what I saw, I gathered that the humans were the elves slaves, they rebelled, and the main character is working against that? Huh? I guess it seems interesting, but I think I misunderstood it.

Anyways, good job.

Gate-keeper-girl responds:

Actualy, if you had read the little storyling thing in the first scene, everything would have made more sense. The humans ( or rather Kade) does not like the elves, and wants to kill them. Hence the title, Genocide.

Give chickens the respect they deserve.
